The Parakram Diwas drone show, held on January 23rd, 2026, will remain an essential moment in India's cultural and technological storytelling. This event honoured the 5th commemoration of Parakram Diwas as well as the 129th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose. It was the first drone show ever held in Andaman and Nicobar.

BotLab Dynamics produced the drone display using Made-in-India drones that created a living artwork of India’s pre-independence timeline in the sky using drones. This drone light show in Andaman & Nicobar is highly significant since this was where Netaji hoisted the Indian flag during the fight for freedom before the actual Independence.

Parakram Diwas is not merely a commemoration, but an opportunity for all Indians to celebrate certain elements which inspired Netaji throughout his life.  These elements were self-belief, courage, and purpose in the different areas of life. The Andaman and Nicobar drone show signified a connection to Netaji’s philosophy of creating a self-reliant country. The use of BotLab Dynamics’ indigenous Made-in-India drones allowed the show to go smoothly. Weather and functionality testing was done by the company to ensure no hindrances at the time of aerial performance.

The Parakram Diwas drone show provided a chronological experience by visually narrating the story of India’s freedom struggle in the sky. The drone performance used dynamic motion formations to retell the events in an animated visual format.

To start, the first aerial formation showed the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on a map of British-India. It was illuminated with British Flag colours before switching to the Indian Tri-colour representing freedom. This opening sequence set the tone for the evening.

Next, the Parakram Diwas drone light show illustrated a 3D visual representation of Shaheed Sthal and the Battle of Aberdeen (1859). The history of freedom struggle was documented through the aerial performance utilising precise drone choreography.

One of the most creative formations of this performance was the moment where the rising tricolour converges with the Historical Pen of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. as he was the creator of "Azad Hind Fauj". The drone formations replicated Netaji’s handwriting showcasing a signature by using advanced drone algorithms. This particular formation signified the connection between thought, leadership and action.

Subhash Chandra Bose's aerial portrait was created next with exquisite details through the use of drones. It was a goosebumps inducing moment for many viewers in the audience.

The formation then transitioned into a darker aspect of India’s Freedom Movement with a 2.5D aerial formation of the Cellular Jail. This is where many Indian revolutionaries were tortured by the British. The visual impact of this show was further enhanced when the number "52" appeared in the sky. The number smoothly transformed into Veer Savarkar's eyeglasses, representing that he was held as a political prisoner in cell no. 52.

From INA to Indian Armed Forces Today

This formation told the story of the journey of India’s armed forces. The drones synchronized themselves in the sky to form the emblem of the Indian National Army (INA). This seamless link between the sacrifices of the past and the commitment of troops today showed the influence of Netaji’s vision on Indian Armed Forces.

The celebration of India’s strength continued with the visual formation of R11 which dynamically changed to represent INS Vikrant. The formation of INS Vikrant, the first Indian manufactured aircraft carrier, represented India moving from an oppressed country to being a strong global leader today with an independent defence force.

The phrase "5th Parakram Diwas 2026" was created in the sky. Then, the breathtaking aerial formation of  "Jai Hind" was formed as three fighter jets flew overhead and circled the phrase with tricolour trails of smoke represented through drone lights. The finale was a cinematic production with spectacular cloud-dispersion effects and a real-time voice-over narration by Oscar-nominated artist Abhishek Sharma. He brought a new shade of drama and emotion to each visual which was displayed in the sky of Andaman and Nicobar.
